Lenovo Flex 3-1470 Disassembly

In this guide, I’ll explain how to disassemble Lenovo Flex 3-1470 to remove the bottom case, hard drive, RAM, heat sink, cooling fan, speaker, battery and motherboard. Refer to this guide. You can upgrade, repair your Flex 3-1470.

The laptop model: Flex 3-1470.

Remove ten screws securing the bottom case.

Pry up and remove the bottom case.

Under the case, you can get access to the internal components, including battery, hard drive, wireless card, speakers, RAM, heat sink and cooling fan.

Before touch the internal components, we should remove the battery first.
Disconnect the battery power cable from the motherboard.

Disconnect the cable connecting to the USB board.

Remove all screws securing the battery.

The Lenovo Flex 3-1470 comes with an 11.1v, 4050mah Li-polymer battery, Lenovo model: L14M3P21.

Remove the screws securing the hard drive module.

Sliding down and remove the hard drive module.

This Lenovo Flex 3-1470 features a WD 500GB 5400 RPM hard drive.
There is no spare M.2 NGFF on the motherboard, so if you want to upgrade the SSD, just remove the hard drive and replace it with 2.5″ SSD.

Remove the screw securing the wireless card.

Disconnect two wireless antenna cables.

Lenovo Flex 3-1470 features an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 (3160NGW) wireless card.

The Lenovo Flex 3-1470 comes with a Ramaxel 4GB DDR3L 1600MHz.

Separate two clips, the RAM will popup.

Disconnect cooling fan cable from the motherboard.

Remove the screws securing the heat sink and cooling fan.

Disconnect the LCD cable

Remove the screws securing the LCD hinge.

Remove the screw securing the USB board.

Remove the USB board.

Remove the speaker modules.

Remove two screws securing the touchpad.

Lift up and remove the touchpad.
