  1. hello
thanks for this info and i have a question: does it support the SSD 960 EVO NVMe M.2 500 GB from samsung and it only with one line?

    1. Yes. The ASUS GL553VE-FY127T supports NVME M.2 SSD in the slot as a replacement for the pre-installed M.2 SATA SSD. I bought a Gigabyte 1 TB NVME M.2 SSD and installed the Windows 10 Pro on the same afresh and installed all the Drivers downloaded from ASUS support site. It works fine. I have also replaced the 1 TB SATA 7200 rpm Hard Disk with a 1 TB SATA SSD and have upgraded the RAM with 32 GB 2666 Mhz RAM with Two 16 GB sticks. The Laptop is lightning fast now.

  2. Hello,
How can I replace the keyboard module in this model ? I tried but I could not disassembly the Keyboard, I was a bit afraid of messing up the notebook. If you know, can you give me some tips about ?

  3. hi, i have that laptop, but my wifi speed si very low, i will need change the wireless card, is this possible?, support shot shape wireless card? regards

    1. Please be aware that the laptop sports a single Wireless Card (Intel BT_7265) which manages both Wifi and Bluetooth. If the Wifi speed appears low, it might be your Router problem and not a problem with the Laptop’s wifi Card because Intel BT_7265 is one of the best in its class of Wifi Cards. My Wifi functions normally and it never slows down. Please try downloading the New Driver for INTEL BT_7265 Card from the Intel website for offline installation. Then uninstal the old Driver, Restart the Laptop and instal the downloaded latest Driver. You will notice the difference. Also check your external router for any faults if any problem persists despite doing the above.

    1. The M.2 slot in ASUS GL553VE-FY127T supports both SATA and PCIE SSDs with M.2 form factor. Mine is now upgraded by replacing the SATA M.2 SSD with NVME M.2 SSD. NVME works faster than the pre-installed SATA M.2 SSD.

  4. Hello! Thank you for information!

I have a question… is the “receptor of ethernet” a module?
I mean, if the motherboard is changed, can that module be switched to the new motherboard, so that the MAC Address will remain the same?

    Thank you!

  5. SOS – My issue is Windows and iTunes having a fit over the 128Gb/1Tb factory and I’d like to update them to 1Tb SSD/5Tb SATA combo. I already checked the ASUS/ROG site(s) to no avail and I’m you’ll happen to know if a 15mm thick HDD could replace the 1Tb 2ndary/data drive.

    1. Usually, the laptop does not support a 15mm hard drive. There is another way to add a hard drive. You can remove the optical drive and then add a hard drive in the optical drive bay.

  6. hi, how can I remove the battery from the slot? in here you didn’t post the photo of the removed battery. cause I’m having a problem with my FX553VD Asus laptop which was bought last Asus 2018.

can u please help me with my query?

my laptop is new and didn’t use to much cause of my work time.

    1. You need to remove the bottom plate first, then, disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard, take out the battery by screwing off several screws that securing the battery to laptop body.

  8. Hello, I have purchased a SATA 3 SSD and optical bay caddy and I was wondering if it would be better to put the SSD in there or the HDD and have the SSD where the HDD sits now. Are the connections all sata 3?

  9. Hi,
I bought a caddy and a SATA 3 SSD to upgrade, I was wondering if it would be better to put the HDD in the cady or the SSD for best speed.

  10. Are you pretty sure that the ASUS GL553VE 127T comes pre-installed with Realtek Bluetooth card? My ASUS GL553 VE127T is found installed with Intel Bluetooth and Wifi modules. Wifi is working fine, but Bluetooth is detecting the other device and showing up its name but not pairing and connecting. The driver is installed properly and the Device Manager shows no error sign. Everything is listed properly there. I tried resetting the Bluetooth options in SERVICES.MSC but to no avail. The other Bluetooth Device, my phone is connecting with any other device seamlessly. But the phone is visible in ASUS Laptop and the Laptop is visible on the phone. But they are not pairing with each other and they are not connecting with each other. They just see one another. What would be the reason for this? I tried uninstalling the Driver, Reinstalling the same, etc. but to no avail. Please help me rectify this Bluetooth connectivity issue of my ASUS GL553VE 127T. I am from India.

  11. Hi, I have upgraded the M2 SSD to a 480 GB Western Digital Green (SATA Channel). After installing everything, I noted from another website that it supports M2 SSDs of both SATA and NVME. It is good. I also have replaced the 1 TB Hard Disk with a 1 TB SATA SSD (Silicon Power). This resulted in more battery backup as the SSD consumes less power than a conventional Hard Disk which has a rotating disk inside it. I have upgraded the RAM by installing two 16GB SODIMM modules of ADATA Premier 2666 Mhz, taking the total RAM to 32 GB. The Laptop now works fine with more speed and more battery backup. I now wish to know how can I adjust the RAM speed from 2400 Mhz to 2666 Mhz in BIOS? I have checked all options, but I did not find any such option to set the RAM speed in BIOS. But, this was possible in my MSI 970 Gaming DDR3 Desktop Motherboard when I upgraded the RAM to 1866 Mhz, and set the RAM speed to 1866 Mhz in the BIOS as such an option is available there in the BIOS that motherboard. But I find no such option to set the RAM speed in BIOS in my ASUS GL553VE Laptop.

  13. does Asus rog gl553ve fy047t support which type of SSD? I have no SSD installed having Nvidia 1050Ti. Does it support NVme SSD with M.2 2280 form factor
