By the end of this year, Xiaomi is said to launch a new smartphone with the full-screen design. Today, a leaked picture of Xiaomi’s new phone has been exposed on the Internet.
Xiaomi’s new phone with the full-screen design is supposed to be termed as the Xiaomi R1, which means that Xiaomi will start the all-new R series products. From the leaked picture, the phone adopts the full screen with the aspect ratio of 18:9 and remains forehead and chin as the Samsung Galaxy S8 does. The smartphone doesn’t completely cancel its forehead like what the Mi MIX 2 does. Although the R1 doesn’t boast of the screen ratio as high as the Mi MIX 2, it still brings excellent visual experience. It looks quite thin, and theoretically, it will bring good touch feeling. Besides, the phone seems to support USB Type-C port.
The Xiaomi R1 is rumored to be priced at CNY 1,499 (approximately $227). But the phone’s launch event is still unknown. The phone is estimated to compete with OPPO and Vivo phones.
