By the end of this year, Xiaomi is said to launch a new smartphone with full screen design. Today, a leaked picture of Xiaomi’s new phone has been exposed on the Internet.
Xiaomi’s new phone with full screen design is supposed to be termed as the Xiaomi R1, which means that Xiaomi will start the all-new R series products. From the leaked picture, the Xiaomi R1 adopts the full screen with the aspect ratio of 18:9. The R1 remains forehead and chin as the Samsung Galaxy S8 does. The smartphone doesn’t completely cancel its forehead like what the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 does. Although the Xiaomi R1 doesn’t boost of the screen ratio as high as the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, it still brings excellent visual experience. The R1 looks quiet thin, and theoretically it will bring good touch feeling. Besides, the phone seems to support USB Type-C port.
The Xiaomi R1 is rumored to be priced at CNY 1,499 (approximately $227). But the phone’s launch event is still unknown. The Xiaomi is estimated to compete with OPPO’ and vivo’ phones.
