Lenovo Legion 2 Pro Officially Confirmed To Feature Snapdragon 888 Chipset

A few days ago, Legion Mobile (on Weibo) had officially confirmed that the new generation of its gaming smartphone series (Lenovo Legion 2 Pro) would be launched on April 8. But today, we are only 7 days far from the launch event.

The company has started a new 7 days campaign. On the first day, they officially announced that the new Lenovo Legion 2 Pro will feature the latest Qualcomm flagship chipset, Snapdragon 888. The upcoming gaming phone was already spotted on the Geekbench with the same chipset.

In terms of specifications, the Snapdragon 888 is a 5 nm-based octa-core chipset. The chipset is a few of the ones, which feature Cortex-X1 Ultra-core. The Cortex-X1 core takes the performance to another level. The chipset also features Adreno 660 GPU.

It seems that the company may launch 7 more highlights of the phone in the next 7 days.

The phone has also been listed on the Chinese 3C (or CCC) Certification, which shows that it got two versions; one supports charging up to 65W fast charge, and the other supports up to 45W fast charge.

The last year’s model also uses a dual-cell solution. The phone can charge two batteries simultaneously through dual Type-C charging ports so that the dual 45W becomes a 90W dual-turbo fast-charging system.

If Legion 2 also uses the same charging solution, the dual 65W charging can achieve 130W fast charging, making it the fastest charging model currently in the world.
