Recently, Taiwan’s well-known tech media, Digitimes, reported that sources within Huawei’s supply chain revealed the company has requested to cut orders. Industry insiders also indicated that Huawei recently announced it would adjust the shipment plan for the Mate 40 series, with order volumes decreasing by 30%.
In addition, Huawei did not showcase its new Kirin 9000 chip at this year’s IFA. This processor will be the latest flagship chip and will debut alongside the Huawei Mate 40 series.
We previously reported that the Huawei Mate 40 series has appeared on TENAA and MIIT, revealing the model numbers for all devices in the series. In addition, the Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+ have also appeared on the Bluetooth certification website.
The Huawei Mate 40 series will feature a waterfall display with a dual punch hole and support a 90Hz refresh rate. This phone will feature the Kirin 9000 chipset, and the camera specifications are also expected to be upgraded.
According to leaks, the Mate 40 series is set to launch in October 2020.
