How to remove and replace the Huawei Ascend P7 screen

In this guide, I will explain how to remove and replace the screen of your Huawei P7. I will remove the damaged screen and install a new display assembly.

Tools are needed.

Remove the SIM card tray.

In the next step, we will remove the back cover.

Heat the back cover with a heat gun for 3-4 minutes.

Slowly separate the cover with a suction cup.

Now insert a guitar pick and pry up the back cover.

The back cover was removed.

Now you can find fifteen screws securing the motherboard.

Remove all screws.

There are seven black screws and eight silver screws.

Remove the little cover.

Disconnect the antenna.

Remove the iron sheet.

Disconnect the battery power cable.

Remove the battery.

Disconnect the LCD cable.

Disconnect all cables connected to the motherboard.

Now wear antistatic gloves.

Remove the motherboard.

Put the motherboard into an antistatic bag.

Remove the camera.

Remove the button board.

Remove the earpiece.

Remove this cable. It’s integrated with a 3.5mm jack and a vibrator.

Remove the sticker.

All the parts were removed from the display assembly.

Replace the Huawei Ascend P7 screen

This is the new display assembly.

Now, install all the parts in the new display assembly.

Install the motherboard.

Remove the red sticker.

Install the battery.

Apply glue evenly along the edge of the back cover, ensuring it is not applied too thickly to avoid sticking to the motherboard.

Install the back cover.
