Today, Lu Weibing revealed that the Redmi K40 series is not just an ordinary phone, but will also be a gaming phone.
The Redmi K40 series will feature a Samsung E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with a Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is also the best chipset in Android phones.
The device features Dolby Atmos and has received dual high-resolution gold certification, delivering an outstanding audio-visual experience. Lu Weibing stated that the game optimization plan will not be disclosed for now and will be revealed at tomorrow’s launch event.
He also revealed that the company will launch its own exclusive custom gaming accessories. Among them, the shoulder key is specifically designed for first-person shooter games.
The shoulder key comes with the following highlights:
- Separate design, function mapping can be set freely, comparable to handheld controls.
- The left and right distances can be adjusted to accommodate all hand sizes fully.
According to previous reports, the Redmi K40 series will have two versions: one with a Snapdragon 870 chipset and the other with a Snapdragon 888 chipset. Both phones feature a 6.67-inch punch-hole display.
This phone will have a 4520 mAh battery and support 33W fast charging. The Redmi K40 Pro is expected to feature a quad-camera setup (108MP, 8MP, 5MP, 2MP). The front camera is likely to have a 30MP lens.
