Samsung Galaxy M02 Core listed on Geekbench with MediaTek chipset

Today, the Samsung SM-M022G appeared on Geekbench. The device has been confirmed as the Samsung Galaxy M02 Core.

In the Geekbench test, the device scored 104 points in single-core and 315 points in multi-core. These scores are acceptable for an entry-level smartphone. The model number indicates that it is a single-SIM version.

This phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 chipset. This chipset is an entry-level product with only four cores. Its maximum frequency is 1.5 GHz, and it uses Cortex-A53 cores.

This phone has 2GB of RAM and runs Android 10. Due to the device’s lower specifications, its Android version is likely Android GO.

The Galaxy M02 Core will be a Lite version of the Galaxy M02, which is also expected to launch soon with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. The Galaxy M02 series is expected to be Samsung’s cheapest smartphone ever. The device will also be launched as Galaxy A02 in some regions.

The Galaxy M02 series is currently under development. Samsung is expected to release it soon.
