Samsung Galaxy M02 Core Listed On Geekbench With Mediatek Chipset

Today, a new device from Samsung has been spotted on Geekbench. The device has a model number (SM-M022G). It can be easily identified that it is Samsung’s entry-level smartphone, named “Galaxy M02 Core”.

In the Geekbench, it can be seen that the device has scored 104 points on single-core, while on multi-score, it has scored 315 points. The scores are just acceptable as it is an entry-level smartphone. The model number denotes that it is a single SIM variant of the smartphone.

Galaxy M02 Core Geekbench

The smartphone is equipped with a Mediatek chipset having a codename: MT6739. The chipset lies in the entry-level range, and it consists of only four cores. The maximum frequency is 1.5 GHz with Cortex-A53 cores.

The smartphone is equipped with 2 Gigs of RAM and running the (a bit) older version of Android (Android 10). The version of Android would be Android GO, as the specifications of this device are too low.

The Galaxy M02 Core would be the lite version of Galaxy M02, which is also expected to be launched soon with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 chipset. The all-new Galaxy M02 series devices are expected to be the cheapest smartphones ever from Samsung. The device would also be launched as “Galaxy A02” in some regions.

Currently, it is only known that the Galaxy M02 series is under development. It is expected that it would be revealed by Samsung soon.
