A few days ago, Xiaomi confirmed the existence of its Mix Fold 3 and announced that it will be launched in collaboration with Leica. Today, Xiaomi also announced the exact release date.
This afternoon, Xiaomi announced that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be launched on August 14.
In the launch poster, the Mix Fold 3 has a quad-camera module. The four cameras are arranged in a square matrix. The top area is made of glass, while the other area has a leather-textured surface.
This quad-camera system is named the ‘Leica Optical Quad Camera’ solution. It includes a miniature OIS motor, an ultra-thin lens, a miniature periscope telephoto module, and a stacked design. In addition, the rear camera module also includes a 3.2x portrait lens and a 5x periscope telephoto lens.
According to reports, the Mix Fold 3 will feature an 8.02-inch inner screen with full HD+ resolution, while the outer screen has a 6.5-inch punch-hole display. Both screens support a 120Hz refresh rate. This phone also features a new waterdrop hinge, which enhances drop resistance while maintaining a slim body.
The foldable phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It has a Cortex-X3 super core, a Snapdragon X70 5G modem, and an Adreno 740 GPU. The battery capacity is unknown. However, the phone will support 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
