A few days ago, Xiaomi officially confirmed the existence of its Mix Fold 3 and announced that it will be launched in collaboration with Leica. Recently, the company also announced the exact release date.
This afternoon, Xiaomi officially announced that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be launched on August 14.
In the launch poster, the Mix Fold 3 comes with a quad-camera module. All four cameras are arranged in a square matrix. The top area is made of glass, while the other area has a leather-textured surface.
This quad camera is named the “Leica Optics Quad Camera” solution. It includes miniaturized OIS motors, ultra-thin lenses, miniaturized periscope telephoto modules, and a stacked design. Additionally, the rear camera module includes a 3.2x portrait lens and a 5x periscope telephoto lens.
Additionally, the Mix Fold 3 is reportedly to have an 8.02-inch inner display that supports Full HD+ resolution, while the cover display will be a 6.5-inch punch-hole display. Both support a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Mix Fold 3 also comes with a new waterdrop hinge design, which enhances drop resistance while maintaining a thin and light body.
The foldable phone is reportedly powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process. It has a Cortex-X3 super core, a Snapdragon X70 5G modem, and an Adreno 740 GPU. The battery capacity is unknown. However, the Mix Fold 3 will support 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
