Vivo Pad Air Officially Announced: Specs Also Revealed

A few days before, it was reported that Vivo was working on a new tablet device that would be named Vivo Pad Air. The tablet also got listed on 3C Certification, revealing its charging specifications. Recently, the company officially announced and confirmed Vivo Pad Air’s existence.

This morning, @Jia Jingdong (the VP of Vivo China) officially revealed the Vivo Pad Air. This would be the Vivo’s 3rd tablet device (after the Vivo Pad 2) but with sub-flagship level specifications. The VP has also revealed the specifications of Vivo Pad Air which are discussed below.

Starting from the display, the Vivo Pad Air features an 11.5 inches bezel-less LCD Display that supports 2.8k resolution and 144Hz refresh rate (also supports adaptive refresh rate in which the screen adjusts the refresh rate by itself to reduce battery consumption).

Moreover, the screen also supports DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and the screen ratio is 3:2. In terms of chipset, the tablet would be powered by Snapdragon 870 5G chipset. On the backside, the tablet features a single (expected 13MP) lens in a round-shaped camera module.

The chipset is based on a 7nm manufacturing process and features 4x Cortex-A77 P-Cores (1 is clocked @3.2GHz, and the other three are clocked @2.42GHz) and 4x Cortex-A55 E-cores (clocked @1.8GHz). In addition, the chipset also features the Adreno 650 GPU.

The VP also revealed that the Vivo Pad Air will be equipped with an 8500mAh battery in addition to 44W fast charging technology (also revealed through 3C Certification). In terms of dimensions, the tablet has a thickness of 6.67mm and weighs around 530g. At the bottom, the tablet also has four speakers with a large sound cavity supporting Super Audio computing sound effects.

The Vivo Pad Air also got some highlights, like supporting Vivo Pencil, and runs on the latest OriginOS 3. The tablet would be available in the following three colors: Free Blue, Brave Pink, and Easy Silver.

The official hasn’t revealed the launch date yet.
