In March 2022, Motorola launched the Moto Edge+ (2022) in the US market. The smartphone was powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and is also a rebranded version of the Moto X30. The latest industry news hints that Motorola will launch its successor.
This morning, the Moto Edge+ (2023) appeared on the Google Play Console, revealing its basic specifications and renders. It is worth mentioning that this phone will be exclusive to the US market.
As shown in the render, the Moto Edge (2023) features a punch-hole display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a pixel density of 400 DPI.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, manufactured using TSMC’s 4nm process. It has one Cortex-X2 core, two Cortex-A715 cores, two Cortex-A710 cores, and three Cortex-A510 cores.
The certification also mentions that the phone has 12GB of RAM and runs the latest Android 13.
This phone also previously appeared on the Bluetooth SIG website. The certification revealed that this phone is a rebranded version of the Moto X40 (launched in the Chinese Market) and Motorola Edge 40 Pro (launched as a global variant).
The specifications of the Moto Edge+ (2023) will be the same as in its other rebranded models. The phone has a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It features a rear triple-camera module (50MP, 50MP, and 12MP) and a single 60MP front lens in the punch-hole.
The phone will be equipped with a 4600mAh battery, supporting 125W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The Moto Edge (2023) will also feature an under-display scanner for quick unlocking.
There is no news about the launch date of this phone at the moment. However, information from various certification websites suggests that the launch date of the Moto Edge (2023) should not be far away.
