Today, Motorola revealed that the Moto X40 will be released on December 15. The official announcement didn’t contain any more information, but it can also be seen that this announcement was made using the Moto X40.
It is worth mentioning that the phone was also listed on the AnTuTu benchmark with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset a few days ago and has scored more than 1.3 million points.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is based on a 4nm TSMC manufacturing process and comes with a new core architecture that includes a Cortex-X3 super core, two Cortex-A715 cores, two Cortex-A710 cores, and three Cortex-A510 cores. The GPU is Adreno 740.
Previously, the Moto X40 was also listed on the TENAA certification, revealing that the device has the following dimensions: 161.3 x 73.9 x 8.5 mm and weighs 196g. It comes with a 6.67-inch OLED display with Full-HD+ (2400x1080p) resolution and supports 10-bit color depth.
The device comes with a triple camera module (50MP + 50MP + 12MP) on the back, which also supports 4x optical zoom. The phone is expected to have two different battery versions: one with a 4950mAh battery and the other with a 4450mAh battery. The charging speed is unknown.
This phone will also support an under-screen fingerprint sensor and face unlock. According to officials, the device will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
