Back in July 2022, nubia launched the Red Magic 7s series, powered by the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset of that time. However, after the Qualcomm Summit has finished, every manufacturer is now trying to launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 powered smartphone, and nubia is among them.
Now, as the Red Magic 8 series launch is near, the leaks and rumors regarding the new gaming series are getting revealed. This morning, the famous blogger @DigitalChatStation announced the expected specifications of Red Magic 8 Pro, which are discussed below:
Starting from the display, the new Red Magic 8 Pro will feature a 6.8 inches OLED Flat Display, an ultra-narrow screen with better concealments. The OLED Display will also support the Eye-Dimming feature in order to ensure the user’s eye protection in long-term usage.
The new Red Magic 8 Pro will have the following dimensions: 163.98*76.35*8.9mm and weights around 228g. Compared with the previous Red Magic 7s Pro, the device’s weight and thickness are much reduced. In terms of battery, there will be two battery versions: 5000mAh and 6000mAh; both will support 165W charging.
Then in the camera section, we have a triple rear camera setup that includes the following lens: 50MP+8MP+2MP. On the front side, we have a single 16MP lens under the screen, which will also not show on the display when not in use.
Lastly, we have the chipset (Snapdragon 8 Gen2), which is the primary aspect of the device but is already known. In terms of specs, the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset is based on a 4nm TSMC process and features the following cores: 1x Cortex-X3 Super Core, 2x Cortex-A715, and 2x Cortex-A710 P-Cores and 3x Cortex-A510 E-Cores.
It is expected that the all-new Red Magic 8 series from nubia will be released soon.
