A few days ago, Oppo announced plans to launch a new smartphone called the Oppo K7x. The phone was also spotted on the TENAA certification website, which revealed all its specifications except for the chipset.
Today, the OPPO K7x appeared on Geekbench, revealing its chipset. The device will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor. On Geekbench, this chipset is listed as MT6853V/ZA, confirming it is the Dimensity 720 chipset.
The Dimensity 720 is an octa-core chipset with four Cortex-A76 performance cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and four Cortex-A55 energy-efficient cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. This chipset is manufactured using a 7nm process and has a Mali-G57 GPU.
The device has 8GB of RAM and scored 511 in single-core and 1644 in multi-core on Geekbench tests. The Geekbench score is average compared to mid-range Android phones. As shown in its launch poster, the phone is more focused on battery performance.
