Samsung has a special foldable mobile phone series in the Chinese market. The latest device is the Galaxy W21 5G, which is a fine-tuned version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. It was launched jointly with China Telecom.
Reports claim that the upcoming Samsung W22 5G and Galaxy Z Fold3 in China are the same in many ways, except for a slight change in design. What is certain is that the Galaxy Z Fold will come with dual SIM functionality for the Chinese market.
Today, the Samsung W22 5G (SM-W2022) has received China’s 3C certification. The certification shows it will come with an EP-TA800 charger that supports up to 25W fast charging.
In addition, the 3C certification of the Galaxy Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G has also been updated. The certification shows they both have an EP-TA200 charger and support 15W charging. Today, the updated certification shows that the Galaxy Fold3 5G will have an EP-TA800 charger and support 25W fast charging, and the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G will have an EP-TA200 charger and support 15W fast charging.
In 2019, Samsung launched the Galaxy Fold and Z Fold2 as Galaxy W20 and W21 in China. There is not much information about the W22, but it will have a black body and 512GB storage.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 will be officially launched on August 11, and the W22 5G may be unveiled after that. Samsung officials have not appeared to release news about the Galaxy W22, but it is expected that Samsung will release related news later.
The Samsung W21 5G is priced at CNY 19,999. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC. It uses a 7.6-inch internal screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 2208×1768, and a 6.23-inch external screen with a resolution of 2260×816. It only has a 12GB+512GB storage option.
