In this guide, I will explain how to disassemble the Acer Aspire E15 E5-573G to remove the bottom cover, battery, hard drive, RAM, heat sink, cooling fan, wireless card, and motherboard.

Remove all screws from the bottom cover.
There are a total of 11 screws on the bottom cover.
Pull out the optical drive. We found it’s not a real DVD drive. It’s only a DVD bracket.
You can buy a new optical drive or a second HDD caddy to install a 2.5″ SSD in your Aspire E5-573G.
Insert a plastic pry tool under the bottom cover. There are several clips on the bottom cover that secure it to the palm rest. You must unlock all the clips to remove the bottom cover.
Open the bottom cover a little bit. There is a cable connected to the motherboard; you need to disconnect the speaker cable to completely remove the bottom cover.
The speaker module is fixed on the bottom case. This is a very interesting design that we have never seen before on other laptops.
When the bottom case is removed, you can access the battery, hard drive, wireless card, heat sink, and cooling fan.
Before touching the internal components of the laptop, we must first remove the battery to prevent electrostatic damage to the device.
Disconnect the battery power cable from the motherboard and remove the battery from the laptop.
The Acer Aspire E15 E5-573G comes with a 2500mAh Li-ion battery. The battery life measured under MobileMark testing was 171 minutes.
The Acer Aspire E15 E5-573G features a Seagate 500GB 5400 RPM hard drive. The hard drive is mounted inside a rubber bracket. If you need to install a hard drive, you must remove it and install it on the new hard drive.
The Acer Aspire E5-573G features two memory slots, but only one memory module is installed, so you can add another memory module to upgrade the memory.
The laptop comes with a Kingston 4GB PC3L 12800S RAM module.
Remove the screw securing the wireless card and disconnect the two wireless antenna cables. Then, pull out the card from its slot.
The Acer Aspire E15 E5-573G features an Atheros QCA9377 wireless card.
Remove all screws securing the heat sink and cooling fan.
Disconnect the cooling fan cable from the motherboard. The cooling system can be removed.

Green: ITE IT8987E BXA I/O chip.
Red: Samsung 2GB DDR3 video memory.

After removing the motherboard, you can access the keyboard and touchpad. The keyboard is soldered to the palm rest. If you need to remove the keyboard, you must first remove the metal plate covering it.
