This morning, the Galaxy C55 5G was listed on Google Play Console. From its renders and model number, it can be concluded that the device will be a rebranded version of the Galaxy F55 and Galaxy M55. According to the certification, the device comes with the following model: Samsung M55XQ.
The certification mentions that this phone is powered by the SM7450 chipset, which is the model number of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. The chipset is based on a 4nm manufacturing process and has four Cortex-A710 cores at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A510 cores at 1.8GHz. The CPU is also integrated with an Adreno 644 GPU.
The device has a punch-hole OLED display and integrates an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The display supports Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution and 450 DPI screen density. The certification also mentions that the phone has 8GB of RAM and runs on the Android 14 operating system.
The renders show a vertically aligned triple camera module on the back of the device. If the device is a rebranded version of the Galaxy M55, the triple-camera module will include a 50MP main lens, an 8MP lens, and a 2MP lens.
The appearance of the device is identical to the leaked renders of the Galaxy F55 and Galaxy M55. If it utilizes the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, it will be interesting to see how it compares to the Galaxy A55.
There is no official word yet on the release of the device. However, we expect it to be released soon. The Galaxy C55 is expected to be available exclusively in the Chinese market, as the C-series has historically been tailored for this market.
