Xiaomi Redmi 1s Disassembly
In this guide, I will explain how to disassemble the Xiaomi Redmi 1s to remove the back cover, battery, rear camera, front camera, middle frame, and motherboard.

Remove the back cover with your fingernails.
The Xiaomi Redmi 1s comes with a 2050mAh Li-ion battery. The Xiaomi part number is BM41.
Remove all screws securing the middle frame.
There is a screw covered by a fragile sticker. If you damage it, you will void the warranty.
Insert a plastic pry tool under the middle frame. Slide the pry tool along the edge to separate the middle frame from the phone.
Now, you can access the camera, speaker, and motherboard.
The speaker is mounted on the top of the middle frame.
Remove the main board from the top and the small board from the bottom. There are basically no other parts left on the screen assembly.
The Xiaomi Redmi 1s uses the Guotai FT5336 touch chip, which supports operation with regular gloves, so users do not need to purchase anti-static gloves.
This small circuit board integrates a micro USB charging port that supports OTG functionality, a breathing light, and a microphone, but does not come with an integrated backlit button.
The motherboard has 2 SIM slots, a MicroSD card slot, a noise-canceling microphone, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and other components.
The Xiaomi Redmi 1s features a Qualcomm MSM8628 quad-core 1.6GHz A7 processor and 1GB SK Hynix RAM.
