EliteBook 830 G7 is HP's latest mid-range business laptop, between the low-end ProBook series and the high-end EliteBook 1030 series. Compared with the previous generation EliteBook 830 G6 or 830 G5, this model has undergone a visual redesign.
Compared with the EliteBook 830 G6, the 830 G7 has significantly narrower bezels on all four sides, especially along the top and bottom bezels to achieve a higher screen-to-body ratio. HP claims that its top and bottom bezels are 34% and 29% thinner than last year's model, respectively.
CPU options range from Core i5-10210U to Core i7-10810U. It does not have a discrete graphics card option. RAM and WLAN are user-upgradable. It has two DDR4-2666 SODIMM slots each supporting 32 GB, A total of 64 GB.
The laptop does not provide a MicroSD reader, it has two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and there is only one on the 830 G6. On the right side of the fuselage, there is a Nano-SIM slot (optional), 2x USB-C + Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 1.4, and AC adapter ports. On the left side of the fuselage, there is HP DriveLock, 2x USB-A 3.1 Gen 1, 3.5 mm combo audio, SmartCard reader (optional)
