Replacement Tips:
1. Please verify that the part number, description, and image match your old keyboard.
2. This series of laptops has a built-in keyboard. In order to install the keyboard, you need to remove the palm rest from the laptop and install the new keyboard on your old palm rest.
3. To replace the keyboard, you have to remove the bottom cover, battery, LCD screen, CPU fan, motherboard, and most laptop parts on the palmrest.
4. If you want to replace it yourself, please go to the Asus website to download the hardware maintenance manual for this laptop, then follow the steps in the manual to remove the palm rest.

This purple keyboard is the former black one. Because its keycaps are purple (the rest are black), it is more reasonable to call it purple. It is exactly the same as your original keyboard.

My current keyboard is prone to double-key presses, particularly the spacebar. Does this replacement part have any upgrades to the original OEM products to correct this issue? I’ve read on several forums that this is a common problem, and the spacebar only has one actuator, which is the source of the issues in many cases.
