1. This laptop uses a built-in keyboard, and the keyboard is removable, you do not need to replace the entire top cover, this can save you a lot of money.
2. To replace this keyboard, you need to remove most of the parts from the laptop, so you need to have experience in laptop teardown.
3. Before you start to replace the keyboard, you need to shut down your laptop and disconnect all devices connected to the laptop
4. Remove the bottom cover, battery, fan, SSD, memory, Wi-Fi card, and other small parts from your laptop.
5. Then remove the metal cover that holds the keyboard, you can remove the old keyboard and install a new keyboard on the top cover.

Do you have a replacement keyboard for an HP Spectre X360, Model 15t-ch000, not backlit. If a backlit keyboard fits, OK. My space bar skips and I'm told the only solution is keyboard replacement. Prefer OEM parts. Thank you, Jim Jim Schwitters asked on January 8, 2022
