Today, Honor Mobile officially announced that the Honor X10 Max will be released on July 2.
Honor stated, ‘After waiting for two years, large-screen phones will finally arrive in 2020’. It is worth noting that the official poster of the Honor X10 Max also confirms that it will feature a waterdrop screen.
Previous reports indicated that the Honor X10 Max will feature a 7.09-inch screen and support the DCI-P3 color gamut. The device will also feature a 5000mAh battery and be powered by the Dimensity 800 5G chip. Supply chain sources suggest that the Honor X10 Max could become the world’s first 7-inch 5G smartphone.

The specification sheet indicates that this phone features a 7.09-inch display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC. It has a built-in 5000mAh battery and supports 22.5W fast charging. The body dimensions are 174.46 x 84.91 x 8.9 mm, and it weighs 227 grams. It is available in three colors: black, blue, and silver.
It is worth mentioning that the blogger said that the list only shows the front and rear main cameras of the Honor X10 Max, which are 8 MP and 48 MP cameras, respectively.
Last week, Zhao Ming, president of Honor smartphones, confirmed on Weibo that he would fulfill the promise he made two years ago regarding large-screen products. “In 2018, I promised to launch a large-screen product within two years. The transition period from 4G to 5G brought many challenges to product planning, and I am glad to fulfill the promise on schedule,” Zhao Ming said.
Previously, Honor and Xiaomi were the main players in this field. Last year, Xiaomi publicly stated that it had no plans to launch a large-screen phone. After entering 2020, there has been no new news in the large-screen phone segment. Currently, it seems that the Honor X10 Max will be the only 5G large-screen phone of 2020.
