Now that the Chinese New Year is over and the markets are open again, Huawei has just revealed the release date of its upcoming phones. The company seems to be looking forward to releasing successors to its flip phones, such as the Huawei P50 and Huawei Pocket S.
This morning, Huawei announced that the Huawei Pocket 2 will be launched on February 22. The official announcement stated that an eye-catching phone is on the way. However, the poster shows that it still uses the old pill-shaped camera module design.
The official announcement does not include any specifications or appearance of the device. However, it was previously revealed that the phone will feature the same design as its predecessor. However, the hardware will be upgraded.
This flip phone will be powered by the Kirin 9000S 5G chipset, which is based on a 7nm manufacturing process. The chipset features four TaiShan V120 cores (one clocked at 2.62 GHz and three clocked at 2.1 GHz) and four Cortex-A510 cores at 1.53 GHz.
It was revealed that the phone will come with a 4520mAh battery and a 66W charger, which the company has been using since the Mate 40. The cover screen and camera specifications will be upgraded.
Huawei is expected to announce the main highlights of its Huawei Pocket 2 in the coming days.
