It was reported that Lenovo is working on the newer generation of its Legion gaming smartphone. Today, Lenovo‘s general manager has confirmed on his Weibo that the new generation will be named Lenovo Legion 2 Pro.
Today, the company has officially announced the highlight of its upcoming gaming smartphone. As per the official Weibo post, the new Lenovo Legion 2 Pro will feature the industry’s first dual-turbo super-dimensional cooling system.
The officials also mentioned that the gaming experience would be epic, and the device would no longer be afraid of heat. In addition, the general manager of Lenovo China has also confirmed that the device would feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.
The Snapdragon 888 is an octa-core chipset based on a 5nm manufacturing process. It also consists of 1x Cortex-X1 Super Core (2.84GHz), which brings the performance to another level compared with previous generation chipsets. The chipset also uses Adreno 660 GPU.
The combination of the Snapdragon 888 chipset and Twin-Turbo Super-Dimensional cooling system will make the device super fast.
Currently, the specifications of the Lenovo Legion Pro 2 are unknown. However, a better display (with maybe a 165Hz refresh rate), a better battery, support for UFS 3.1 storage, and LPDDR5 memory are also expected.
The officials haven’t revealed the launch date yet.
