MediaTek is said to be soon releasing its all-new mid-range chips, the Helio P40 and the Helio P70. Today, a Chinese Weibo user exposed a screenshot of the Helio P70’s score on AnTuTu.
From the exposed picture, the Helio P70 chip has 156,906 scores on AnTuTu. Its scores greatly outnumbered the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660’s. Therefore, it is much more likely to compete with Qualcomm’s latest mid-range Snapdragon 670 processor, which will be launched soon. However, it is still unknown which processor will have better performance.
The MediaTek Helio P70 chip is expected to be built on TSMC’s 12nm manufacturing process. It is expected to consist of four A73 cores up to 2.5GHz and four A53 scores up to 2.0GHz. The chip’s GPU is expected to be 800MHz Mali-G72 MP4. It is estimated to be on sale in the second quarter of this year.
