In May 2020, Meizu 17 series was officially released by Meizu. The flagship series was powered by Snapdragon 865 chipset, which was the latest at that time. With the new year’s arrival, the information regarding the next-generation (Meizu 18) flagship is getting revealed.
Yesterday, the digital blogger @囧雁 revealed a live screenshot of Meizu 18’s system information. The live screenshot shows that Meizu 18 will be powered by Qualcomm’s sub-flagship chipset Snapdragon 870, an upgraded version of Qualcomm Snapdragon 865.
It can be seen that the top of the screenshot is empty in the middle but left and right symmetrical are indicating that the Meizu 18 should be equipped with a single punch-hole display.
It is also observed that the screen ratio of Meizu 18 may be different from the previous generation. The camera configurations are also mentioned. It can be seen that this device will feature a triple camera setup (64+12+5MP).
It can be seen that the system is based on the Flyme OS (v 8.3) based on Android 11, which should be the unannounced Flyme 9 system. It is also reported that the new version of Flyme OS (v9) will be revealed soon by the officials, as their official Weibo account indicating the launch of a new version.
Previously, Meizu has released the latest warm-up poster on its official Weibo. It is written “See you at 10:00 in the morning on February 23” and called it a “good show.” All this may indicate that the Meizu 18 series will be released soon.
