In January 2023, OnePlus introduced its OnePlus 11 series, which includes two models: OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 11R. Both smartphones were powered by Qualcomm’s flagship chipset. However, the reports now claim that the company is looking forward to revealing the next-generation model.
This morning, the blogger @DigitalChatStation (on Weibo) revealed the specifications of the OnePlus 12’s prototype, through which we can judge almost every aspect of OnePlus’ upcoming flagship model.
As per the blogger, the OnePlus 12 features a 2K resolution new substrate curved display that supports frequency dimming and manufactured by a domestic (Chinese) company. The display would also be equipped with an ultra-thin optical fingerprint scanner. The middle frame is made up of metal.
In terms of chipset, it is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chipset that is not announced yet. The chipset is expected to feature the following cores: 1x Cortex-X4 Super Core, 2x Cortex-A7XX (higher frequency) and 3x Cortex-A7XX (lower frequency) P-Cores and 2x Cortex-A5XX E-Cores.
Regarding the camera setup, the primary lens would be a 50MP IMX 9XX series lens combined with a 50MP Ultra-Wide angle lens and a 64MP periscope telephotos lens that supports 3x optical zoom.
Inside the phone, a 5400mAh large-sized battery has been used in addition to 100W wired charging support and 50W wireless charging support. In terms of storage, the base variant would have 16 Gigs of RAM, while the higher variant would have 24 Gigs of RAM.
The upcoming OnePlus 12 also have some following highlights: A super-Sized X-axis motor and Super-Large VC (vapor chamber) heat dissipation area.
It is expected that OnePlus 12 will be launched after the debut of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chipset (expected in November).
