In September 2022, Honor released its Honor X40, one of the best mid-range lineups that don’t compromise performance with affordable prices. As per the latest news, the company is looking forward to releasing the successor model.
Honor (on Weibo) has officially announced that the next generation model of the Honor X series would be named Honor X50, which would be released on July 5 at 7:30 PM (as per Chinese Timing). Moreover, the official posters have also revealed the device’s specs and appearance.
As reported by Digital Chat Station, the all-new Honor X50 will feature a Single Punch-Hole Curved Display that will support 1.5K resolution (2652*1200p) and PWM dimming feature for eye protection. In addition, it would be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen1 5G chipset, which is one of the best mid-range segment chipsets.
The chipset is based on a 4nm manufacturing process and features 4x Cortex-A78 Performance Cores (clocked @2.2GHz) and 4x Cortex-A55 Energy-Efficient Cores (clocked @1.8 GHz). Moreover, the chipset also features Snapdragon X62 5G modem and Adreno GPU.
On the backside, the Honor X50 features a circle-shaped camera module comprising two camera lenses. The primary camera lens would be a 100MP lens, while the second one would probably be a 2MP depth lens.
Inside the phone, a large sized 5800mAh battery has been equipped, which can provide a long-lasting battery backup. However, the charging power hasn’t been revealed yet. Moreover, the highest storage variant would have 16 Gigs RAM and 512GB Storage.
