In December 2022, OPPO introduced its Find N2 series, which includes two new foldable smartphones from the company: the Find N2 Fold and the other is Find N2 Flip. It is worth noting that the Find N2 Flip is still waiting for its global debut, which will happen on February 15.
This morning, the famous blogger @DigitalChatStation (on Weibo) revealed the specification of OPPO’s other upcoming folding flagship device, which will probably be the next generation OPPO Find N3 and is also expected to launch soon in the domestic market (China).
As per the blogger, the new foldable phone will have a 2268*2440p high-resolution main display with a 120Hz refresh rate for a smoother experience. From the resolution, we can judge that this smartphone adopts a horizontally foldable screen. Further, the new folding flagship device will also use a 4805mAh dual battery solution, including 3295mAh and 1510mAh battery cells.
The blogger also mentioned the device’s camera specifications, which state the device uses 2x 32MP OMNIVISION RGBC CMOS lenses, a 20MP lens, and a 50MP in collaboration with HASSELBLAD and MariSilicon X chip (OPPO’s custom ISP chip). However, the blogger hasn’t revealed the exact arrangements of the lenses.
Further, in the comment section, the blogger mentioned that the new foldable flagship from OPPO would have a very thin, stacked, and lightweight body.
It is worth mentioning that OPPO used to launch its foldable devices at the end of the year, as judged by its past practices. However, from this news, there are two possibilities: the company might plan to launch a new foldable flagship lineup, or the fact that they are looking forward to launching their Find N3 in the middle of the year (earlier than expected).
A flagship CPU like Snapdragon 8 Gen2 or Dimensity 9000+ is expected to be part of OPPO’s upcoming foldable flagship device. The previous generation OPPO Find N2 was powered by the Snapdragon 8+ chipset, the overclocked version of the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen1 with higher efficiency.
Currently, the news regarding OPPO’s upcoming foldable phone information is minimal.
