On September 14, Xiaomi announced that the Redmi G Gaming Notebook 2021 will be released on September 22.
The Xiaomi Notebook Weibo account posted: “Redmi’s brand mission is to popularize high-end products, and to be an invincible high-performance light chasing game notebook of the same grade, so that every gamer who loves games can enjoy a high-quality ray tracing game experience, which is the new goal of the next-generation Redmi G Gaming Notebook.”
Ray tracing technology can achieve more realistic shadows and reflections, while significantly enhancing translucency and scattering effects, resulting in scenes that are closer to what the human eye perceives and more lifelike.
Ray tracing technology brings a better gaming experience to NVIDIA RTX 20 series graphics cards. As expected, the Redmi G Gaming Notebook 2021 edition should feature an RTX 30 series graphics card. The entry-level variant is expected to come with an RTX 3050, while the high-end variant may feature an RTX 3060 or even an RTX 3070.
The Redmi G Gaming Notebook 2021 is now available for pre-order on JD.com. The page shows that the laptop is available in Ryzen and Intel versions. Other hardware specifications include a 1080P screen, 64GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD.
The Redmi G Gaming Notebook 2020 is Redmi’s first gaming notebook. It features a 16.1-inch screen with 100% sRGB color gamut, a 10th-generation Intel Core i5-10200H processor, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti graphics card (4GB GDDR6 video memory).
