Snapdragon 778G (SM7325) Specifications Leaked, Will Debut With Honor 50

Yesterday, we reported that the upcoming Honor 50 will feature a model equipped with chipset sm7325. The previous reports were claiming that it would be the Snapdragon 775 or Snapdragon 775G. But recent reports suggesting something new.

The famous Chinese blogger @DigitalChatStation has revealed that the upcoming chipset SM7325 will be named Snapdragon 778G. The chipset is expected to be featured on the base version of the Honor 50 Series.

The blogger also said that the chipset, Snapdragon 778G, will be based on a new 6nm manufacturing process. It would consist of Cortex-A78 semi-custom (Kyro 670) cores. The GPU would be Adreno 642L, which seems to be a lower version of the standard Adreno 642 GPU.

The chipset is also equipped with Snapdragon X53 5G Modem, having a maximum speed of 3.3Gbps In terms of imaging, it is equipped with Qualcomm Spectra 570L ISP, which again seems to be a lower version of standard Spectra 570.

The chipset also features the FastConnect 6700 subsystem that supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 and other characteristics like Quick Charge 5 Protocol up to 100W for fast charging. Overall, it is observed that the Snapdragon 778G will be an affordable version of the Snapdragon 780G chipset.

The all-new chipset is expected to debut with Honor’s upcoming flagship lineup, Honor 50 Series, which is expected to launch in June-July 2021.
