In February 2021, Lenovo officially launched the ThinkPad T14 Gen 2. It will continue the 1.8 mm keystroke keyboard design, retain all the ports of T14 Gen 1, and still use the old abrasive mold. However, it has many processor upgrades. It is equipped with 11th-generation Core and Ryzen 5000 processors.

The ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 will be available in a new color, Storm Grey, with an optional Nvidia GeForce MX 450 graphics card. The Intel version has a Thunderbolt 4 port and a Wi-Fi 6E network card.

For the first time, the laptop will have a 4K UHD screen and no longer have a TN HD (1,366 x 768) screen. It will be available in March 2021, and the AMD version of T14 Gen 2 will be available later in May.

Lenovo has revealed the prices of these two notebooks. The AMD version starts at $1159, and the Intel version starts at $1379.
