It was reported that ASUS would launch a new gaming laptop from its ROG Zephyrus series, named ROG Zephyrus M16 GU603H. Today, the all-new gaming laptop got launched officially with flagship-level specifications.
Compared with the ROG Zephyrus M15, the new ROG Zephyrus M16 has many improvements in design and specifications. The new gaming notebook has a screen with 2K WQHD resolution (2560*1600p) and a 16:10 ratio with a narrow bezel design.
This display has a refresh rate of 165Hz with a response time of 3ms and covers a 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut. The screen’s maximum brightness is 500nit, and further, it got PANTONE certification and Dolby Vision support. It further supports automatic adjustment of refresh rate, and the integrated display mode reduces power consumption.
The screen of this new notebook accounts for 94%, and the sunken hinge design supports opening and closing at 180°. Overall, it has a light and thin appearance. The laptop is build using a magnesium-aluminum CNC shell. The thickness is about 19.9mm, while the weight is only 1.9kg.
Talking about the internals, the ROG Zephyrus M16 is powered by Intel’s latest Core i7-11800H based on a 10 nm SuperFin process, got a maximum core frequency of 4.6GHz and a performance release of up to 70W.
In terms of GPU, the RTX 3060 graphic card from Nvidia has been used inside the laptop, which can achieve a 95W performance release and overclocked output under the ROG Boost overclocking engine.
For a gaming notebook, proper heat dissipation is one of the most crucial factors. This new gaming NoteBook from ROG Zephyrus features six built-in heat pipes for heat dissipation, has four air outlets, and uses violent bear liquid metal for heat conduction.
It is also reported that the ROG Zephyrus M16 GU603H supports both DC and PD power input. The product is equipped with a Thunderbolt 4 port. The HDMI 2.0b port is also there, supports 4K@60Hz output, 90Wh battery with a life of up to 16.6 hours.
It also comes standard with a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, dual-channel 16GB DDR4-3200 memory, and has an additional M.2 NVMe slot.
The laptop has a starting price of 9999 yuan ($1564) with the storage mentioned above. The laptop is already available for pre-booking and will be released officially on June 1 at 12 AM (Chinese Timing).
