Previously, it was revealed that the upcoming iQOO Neo7 SE is very near to launch and would be powered by Dimensity 8200 chipset. However, until now, the chipset hasn’t been officially launched, and its specifications are also unknown. But finally, one query has been solved.
The famous blogger @DigitalChatStation has revealed the Dimensity 8200’s specifications. As per the specifications disclosed by the blogger, we can say that the Dimensity 8200 is just an overclocked version of the previous generation Dimensity 8100 chipset and also features the same GPU.
As per the blogger, the new Dimensity 8200 will feature the same 4x Cortex-A78 P-Cores in which one is clocked @3.1GHz while the other three are clocked @3.0GHz. The chipset also features 4x Cortex-A55 E-Cores (clocked @2.0GHz), and the GPU is still the Mali-G610 MC6.
The CPU’s power consumption can now be increased up to more than 90W. Further, the blogger also mentioned that the Dimensity 8200 powered smartphones would cost in the price range of 2K RMB ($280).
It is worth mentioning that the last generation Dimensity 8100 CPU was launched on January 3, 2022. And now, the next generation chipset is expected to be launched in mid-December alongside iQOO Neo7 SE, which is expected to be a more affordable version of iQOO Neo7.
Judging from these specifications, the new Dimensity 8200 might not have a significant performance upgrade as the frequencies of cores are only upgraded.
