Today, a new Samsung device appeared on the Bluetooth SIG website. The device carries model numbers SM-A022 and SM-M022, indicating that it is the Samsung Galaxy A02 (known as Galaxy M02 in some regions).
The certification document mentions that the device supports Bluetooth 5.0, which is not the latest version, but it has almost all the necessary features. There are lots of model numbers mentioned in the listing, which are the following:
- SM-A022F DS, SM-A022G DS, SM-A022M DS (Galaxy A02 Dual SIM Version)
- SM-M022M DS, SM-M022F DS, SM-M022G DS (Galaxy M02 Dual SIM Version)
- SM-A022F, SM-A022M (Galaxy A02 Single SIM Version)
The Galaxy A02 will be launched as a rebranded version of the Galaxy M02 in some regions. This certification applicant is Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., and it was listed on January 14.
Previously, this device appeared on Geekbench, confirming that the phone will feature a MediaTek MT6739WW chipset, a quad-core processor with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz.
The device will feature a 6.5-inch TFT display with a 1600 x 720 resolution. The back of the phone will feature a triple camera module (13MP, 2MP, 2MP), while the front notch is expected to house a 5MP camera.
The massive 5000 mAh battery will be one of the main highlights of this phone. Some reports also claim that the phone may come with a 15W charger. The phone will be available in the following storage variants: 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB.
There is currently no official news regarding the launch of the Galaxy A02 and Galaxy M02.
