According to reports, Samsung may soon launch new Galaxy A series phones, including the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72. Both phones have received multiple certifications.
Today, the Galaxy A72 with model number SM-A725M/DS appeared in the FCC certification database, indicating that this is the 4G dual-SIM version of the Galaxy A72. Some specifications were revealed in the FCC certification documents.
The Galaxy A72 4G will come with a Samsung 25W charger (EP-TA800), which Samsung has used since the Galaxy Note 10 series. The phone also has a USB Type-C port and comes with a Type-C to Type-C data cable.
In addition to the USB Type-C port, the Galaxy A72 also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, as it comes with 3.5mm earphones. The certification documents also show a screenshot of the device. As the status bar placement shows, the device has a punch hole in the top center.
According to previous reports, the Galaxy A72 will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole. An under-screen fingerprint scanner is also expected. The device will be available in two storage options: 128GB (€449) and 256GB (€509).
It has also been confirmed that the Galaxy A72 will be powered by a Snapdragon 720G chipset. The chipset has a maximum frequency of 2.3GHz, but it does not support 5G network connectivity.
The launch of both Galaxy A Series phones is expected soon, as their support pages are already live.
