According to reports, Samsung plans to launch a successor to the Galaxy A80. The company skipped the Galaxy A81 and is directly preparing to launch the Galaxy A82. The first generation was launched in 2019 and attracted widespread attention for its unique flip camera design.
Today, Ice Universe revealed real photos of the Galaxy A82. This blogger is known for exclusively breaking news about Samsung products. According to the images, the Galaxy A82 will abandon the flip camera design in favor of a simple punch-hole screen solution.
The phone looks similar to the Galaxy A Quantum 2. Samsung is likely to launch the same device as the Galaxy A82 in other regions. Its top bezel and bottom bezel have also been reduced.
The device features a single punch-hole display with a relatively small hole. It also features a triple-camera setup in a rectangular module on the back. The main sensor is expected to be a Sony IMX686, a 64MP lens also used in the Galaxy A52.
In addition, the Samsung Galaxy A82 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 855+ chipset. This chipset also has a rebranded version, the Snapdragon 860, which is being released this year as Qualcomm’s most powerful 4G chip. At the same time, the phone will also be available in a 5G variant.
