Today, we reported on the live photos of the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. However, more information about this phone has now been revealed. Today, both the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and its S Pen have been certified by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Neither of the two certifications revealed any information about the phone. The Note 20 Ultra certification involves the phone’s transmitter. The phone has two mmWave antennas: ANT L (located at the bottom left) and ANT K (located at the top right).
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. applied for both certifications and was approved on July 6. The certification for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra includes two model numbers: SM-N986U and SM-N986U1, indicating that both are U.S. variants. The model number of the S Pen is EJPN980, which means it will be used for the Galaxy Note 20 series.
Previous reports indicated that the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will feature a 2K resolution Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G processor (for the US and China versions) and the Exynos 991 processor (for the European and other market versions).
The phone has a 4370mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. The back of the phone features a quad-camera system, with a 108MP camera sensor that supports 50x zoom.
The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is expected to be released on August 5, and as the date approaches, details about the phone are gradually emerging. Given the current pandemic situation, the launch event is likely to be held online. Additionally, reports indicate that Samsung may begin sending invitations this weekend.
