Nokia is reportedly set to officially launch the Nokia 8 at an event in London, UK, on August 16. Although there are about two months left until the release of this phone, images of the phone have been leaked on the Internet several times. Recently, it even appeared on Taobao’s second-hand marketplace.
According to images leaked by a seller on Taobao’s second-hand marketplace, the engineering prototype of the Nokia 8 features an all-metal body design, with the back cover made of gold-copper material. In addition, the leaked photos also confirm that the device will be equipped with a dual-camera system, making it the first smartphone with dual cameras launched by HMD Global since acquiring the Nokia brand license. Its dual-camera system appears to have been certified by Zeiss, but since the device in the leaked photos is an engineering prototype, the Zeiss logo has not yet appeared on the back of the phone.
There are rumors that the Nokia 8 will feature a 5.3-inch 2K touchscreen and be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, coupled with a dual 13MP rear camera. It is reported that the smartphone will be available in two storage versions: 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM with 64GB ROM. Currently, this phone is priced at CNY 4,500 (approximately $672) on the Taobao second-hand marketplace.
