As Honor promised, Today, the Honor V40 series has been announced officially with its specifications. It is also known that the model will go on sale, Today at 12 PM (Chinese Timing).
In the launch event, all the specifications have been discussed in detail. The main specifications are following:
Display:
The Honor V40 uses a 6.72 inches curved (at 80 deg) display, packed with a very high resolution (2676x1236p). The display also has a 120Hz refresh rate (300Hz Touch Sensing) to support precise ambient light management. The display also got 440 PPI and a 5000000:1 contrast ratio. The display also got DCI-P3 gamut support and 800 nits of brightness. The Honor V40 is the world’s first smartphone that has obtained the German TUV 2.0 Global Eye Protection certification.
Hardware & Software:
The all-new Honor V40 is equipped with Mediatek’s old flagship chipset “Dimensity 1000+.” A 7nm based chipset, got maximum frequency at 2.6GHz with Cortex-A77 core. The support for GPU Turbo X, Link Turbo, and memory management engine is also there. The Honor V40 cooling back clip can ensure that the phone runs in HUNTER Boost mode for a long time. In terms of Sound, the phone is equipped with dual stereo speakers and a dual linear motor for 4D vibration.
Battery & Charging:
The Honor V40 uses the same 66W charger used in the Mate40 series. The company claimed that 60% of the battery could be charged in just 15 minutes with this charger. The model uses a single-cell three-electrode super-fast charging solution. The company hasn’t revealed the battery size of the device.
Camera:
The Honor V40 uses a quad camera setup with a primary 50MP Super-sensitive main lens (with an RYYB array) in terms of camera. The device also supports 4K HDR time-lapse photography. The company has also shared some live shots taken from the device. The other two cameras are an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera with a laser focus sensor.
Storage & Pricing:
The Honor V40 will be available in two storage options: 8+128GB at 3599 Yuans (Equivalent to 556 USD), 8+256GB at 3999 Yuans (Equivalent to 618 USD). There are three color options: Black, Gold, Gradient Blue & Purple. The Honor V40 will go on sale, today at 12 PM.
