Honor X50 GT Officially Coming on January 4th

In July 2023, Honor introduced the all-new Honor X50, powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen1 chipset. The Honor X series is one of the most popular lineups among local youth due to its better price, design, and features. It seems that the company wants to extend its Honor X50 series by launching another model.

This morning, Honor (on Weibo) officially announced that the company will launch another model named Honor X50 GT on January 4th at 7:30 PM (as per Chinese timing) in collaboration with the God of War video game. In the official launch poster, the appearance of the device can be observed, which seems almost similar to the standard Honor X50.

As can be seen, this model features the same single punch-hole curved display; also, the size might be similar. On the backside, it features the same circle-shaped camera module, which features two camera lenses, including a 108MP primary lens and a secondary lens, which would possibly be a 2MP lens.

Under the camera module, there is a yellow-colored strip line design that mentions the primary lens specifications. Except for these things, the official announcement didn’t consist of any more content.

The device was already confirmed to launch a few months before through the 3C Certification, which states that this model would feature 35W charging support. The previous generation of this model (Honor X40 GT) was powered by an old flagship chipset (Snapdragon 888), which is why we also expect this model to feature a bit of an old flagship chipset.
