Huawei released the Mate 50 series in September 2022. According to the latest news, Huawei seems to be developing the next generation of the Mate series.
This evening, a Chinese blogger released images of the mold for the Huawei Mate 60 back cover. In the photos, its rear design is fully visible.
As shown in the figure, the Mate 60 series still uses the same circular camera module on the back as the Mate 50 series, but the lens arrangement has been changed. All four lenses are now placed in different positions. Additionally, the ultra-thin periscopic lens will feature new technology.
Under the camera lenses, another circle seems to be the wireless charging area. However, the rear cover mold of the Mate 60 series is still expected to undergo slight adjustments.
This series is reportedly expected to feature a dual punch-hole screen (including a 3D ToF sensor and front lens), similar to the dynamic island screen cutout of the iPhone 14 Pro. The report also indicated that Huawei may use a self-developed chipset in its upcoming Mate 60 series instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The Huawei Mate 60 series is expected to launch in the fall of 2023.
