Huawei has already launched four foldable flagship devices, including Mate X, Mate X2, Mate Xs, and P50 Folding. Undoubtedly, these devices got good sales and were also entirely satisfactory in terms of performance and appearance. The latest developments in the industry denote that the company is looking forward to expanding its folding screen phones segment.
This morning, Huawei officially announced (on Weibo) that the company will launch the successor model of Mate Xs, named “Mate Xs 2,” on April 28 at 7 PM (Chinese Timing). The company hasn’t revealed anything more except the launch date in the official announcement.
However, judging from the official announcement, it seems that the Mate Xs 2 might have a breakthrough in the folding-screen phones segment. In addition, the Executive Director of Huawei (Richard Yu) said that this would be the fifth folding device from Huawei and would surpass everyone’s imagination of folding-screen phones.
It is worth mentioning that a new Huawei 4G Phone with model number “PAL-AL00” has been listed on the MIIT Certification site (Chinese Certification), running on HarmonyOS and is powered by the Kirin 9000 4G chipset. As per sources, this would be the expected Huawei Mate Xs 2 with an outside folding screen scheme, and the display would also consist of a single punch-hole at the right top.
At the moment, the information regarding the appearance and specifications of the device is minimal. However, it is expected that the officials will soon start to reveal the significant highlights of the device in the coming days.
