Huawei Mate 40E 5G announced with 6.5-inch curved screen and Kirin 990E 5G SoC

This morning, Huawei announced that the Huawei Mate 40E 5G will open for pre-order at 18:08 today and go on sale on March 18.

The Huawei Mate 40E 5G features a 6.5-inch 68° curved display with a resolution of 2376 x 1080, supporting a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The phone is available in Mithril, Bright Black, and Glazed White.

The phone has a Kirin 990E 5G SoC, a built-in 4200 mAh battery, and supports 40W wired fast charging.

The Kirin 990E chipset uses a 7nm EUV process and Huawei’s Da Vinci architecture. It has a 14-core Mali-G76 GPU and supports 5G NSA/SA dual-mode full network connectivity.

The Huawei Mate 40E has a 13MP front camera (wide-angle, f/2.4 aperture), and the rear camera module includes a 64MP wide-angle lens (f/1.9 aperture), a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2 aperture), and an 8MP telephoto lens (f/2.4 aperture, supporting OIS).

The 8GB/128GB is priced at CNY 4599 ($705), and the 8GB/256GB is priced at CNY 5,099 ($782). This device is now available for pre-order on the Huawei Official Store, JD.com, and Tmall.
