A few days ago, iQOO officially confirmed that the company would bring the iQOO 8 on August 17. As the announced launch time is coming near, the company has started to reveal the significant highlights of the phone.
This afternoon, the company has officially revealed that the new iQOO 8 will feature the Snapdragon 888 Plus, the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm, and the combo of UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 memory for ensuring the best performance with the chipset.
In terms of configurations, the Snapdragon 888 Plus has almost the exact specifications as the standard version has. The high-end core “Cortex-X1” is now clocked @2.99GHz instead of 2.84GHz (in the standard version). The chipset is still based on a 5nm process and features Adreno 660 GPU.
As previously reported, the iQOO 8 will adopt Samsung’s E5 new technology screen for the first time in the industry. The display would feature a single punch-hole in addition to 2K Resolution (around 3200*1440p). Furthermore, it will also achieve the 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, natively up to 10bit color, using the COP Package.
It is worth mentioning that the iQOO 8 will feature 16GB total RAM in which the 12GB memory is standard while the 4GB memory can be expanded. In terms of camera, the phone will feature a primary camera with an outsole and a high-power periscope lens. The support for wireless charging would also be there.
For full specifications, we have to wait until the officials announced them.
