MediaTek MT6893 AnTuTu benchmark scores revealed

According to reports, after launching the Dimensity 700 5G chipset, MediaTek is planning to release a new 6nm chipset. Today, the MT6893 chipset was revealed on the AnTuTu benchmark.

Surprisingly, its total score exceeds the Snapdragon 865. The prototype device with this chipset scored 622,409 points, while the Snapdragon 865 scored about 611,000 points.

The specifications of the prototype device with the MT6893 chipset are as follows:

  • A display with 2340 x 1080 (Full HD+) resolution and 90Hz refresh rate
  • 8GB LPDDR5 RAM
  • 256GB UFS 3.1 storage
  • Android 11 OS
  • Codename: Alps

The current running score does not reflect the final performance of this SoC, and further optimization is still needed in the future. The Snapdragon 865 chipset has scored higher in CPU and UX. The phone used for comparison with the MT6893 chipset is the OPPO Find X2 Pro.

MT6893 vs Snapdragon 865

According to previous reports, the MT6893 is an octa-core chipset manufactured using a 6nm process. Its architecture includes one 3.0GHz Cortex-A78 core, three 2.6GHz Cortex-A78 cores, and four 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 cores. The chipset features a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU.

This chipset is expected to be released soon. MediaTek may launch a new chipset series with a new name for its 6nm chip.
