After launching the 7nm 5G Dimensity 700 chipset, MediaTek announced it will release a 5G chipset based on a 6nm process.
Currently, MediaTek’s high-end flagship SoC is the Dimensity 1000+, and related devices are gradually being listed. The company is preparing to launch a new SoC to replace the Dimensity 1000+.
Today, A device with model number Alps K6893v1_64 has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking website. Geekbench 5 data reveals that this device has 8GB of RAM, runs Android 11, and is powered by an ARM MT6893Z/CZA processor with a main frequency of 2.00 GHz. Its single-core score is 886, while the multi-core score is 2948.
According to Digital Chat Station, MediaTek has at least three 6nm SoCs, including the MT6891, MT6893, and MT6895. Among them, the MT6893 will be released first, and the chipset will be manufactured by TSMC. The blogger also revealed its specifications.
This MT6893 SoC uses TSMC’s 6nm process and has one Cortex-A78 core clocked at 3.0 GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. It will feature a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU.
According to the specifications, this SoC’s Antutu score could exceed 600,000, which is more than 1,000 points higher than the Dimensity series and on the same level as the Snapdragon 865.
