Meizu Pro 6 Plus Teardown

The Meizu Pro 6 Plus was launched in November 2016. It has a 5.7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440.

The Meizu Pro 6 Plus is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 8890 processor with 4GB of RAM. The phone contains 64GB of internal storage, which cannot be expanded. It has a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera for selfies.

The phone runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 3400mAh non-removable battery. It measures 155.60 x 77.30 x 7.30 mm and weighs 158g.

The phone supports Dual SIM and Dual Standby. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, and 4G LTE. It also has proximity, accelerometer, and ambient light sensors.

Before starting the disassembly process, remove the SIM card tray first.

The back cover is secured to its body with clips. Use a suction cup and a pick to separate the back cover from the body.

The back cover achieves some phone functions via contact points, eliminating the need for any cables to connect to the body. The overall design is clean and streamlined.

The Meizu PRO 6 Plus has a rear antenna that integrates NFC, MIMO, Wi-Fi, and GPS.

The Meizu PRO 6 Plus features a circular dual-color LED flash with ten LEDs for more natural lighting. It is equipped with a laser-assisted autofocus system at the center.

The top also has a noise-canceling microphone hole.

Remove the ten screws securing the motherboard.
One of the screws is covered with a fragile sticker. If the sticker is damaged, the warranty will be void.

The Meizu PRO 6 Plus has a 3400mAh lithium-polymer battery secured with double-sided tape. Its model number is BT66, and it supports mCharge fast charging technology.

The bottom board also has a fragile sticker. The speaker takes up most of the space.

The bottom board features a USB port, headphone jack, primary microphone, vibration motor, and Hi-Fi speaker. The USB Type-C port supports the USB 3.1 standard, offering faster data transfer speeds and supporting up to 24W charging.
