Meizu Pro 6 Plus Teardown

Meizu Pro 6 Plus was launched in November 2016. The phone comes with a 5.7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440.

The Meizu Pro 6 Plus is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 8890 processor, and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage cannot be expanded. It is packed with a 12-megapixel rear camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The Meizu Pro 6 Plus runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 3400mAh non-removable battery. It measures 155.60 x 77.30 x 7.30 and weighs 158.00 grams.

The Meizu Pro 6 Plus is a dual SIM smartphone that accepts. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC and 4G. Sensors on the phone include the proximity sensor, accelerometer, and ambient light sensor.

Before the disassembly process, you will need to remove Meizu Pro 6 Plus’s SIM card slot.

Remove two screws close to the USB Type-C port of the phone with a screwdriver.

Meizu Pro 6 Plus’s back cover is fixed on its body with clips. Use a suction cup and pick to separate the back cover and its body.

Use the pick to separate the back cover along the edge.

The back cover uses the contact way to complete some of the functional requirements of mobile phones, with no cable connected to the body, and it is very neat and tidy.

Independent key contacts, volume keys, and power button

The rear antenna of the Meizu PRO 6 Plus integrates NFC, MIMO, Wi-Fi, and GPS.

Meizu PRO 6 Plus’s ring 10-LED dual color temperature flash fills the light natural uniform. The middle is the laser-assisted focus.

The top also has a noise-canceling microphone radio hole.

Remove ten screws securing the motherboard.
One of the screws is covered with a fragile label. If damaged, you will void the warranty.

The battery connector and main FPC are reinforced with a metal sheet.

Disconnect the LCD cable and coaxial cable from the motherboard and take out the motherboard from its board.

The earpiece is fixed on the phone’s body with glue.

Meizu PRO 6 Plus comes with a 3400mAh lithium polymer battery, using double-sided adhesive fixed. The model is BT66, which supports mCharge fast charge technology.

The bottom board also has a fragile label. The speaker takes up most of the space.

The bottom board has a USB port, headphone jack, main MIC, vibration motor, HiFi, etc.; the USB Type-C port supports USB 3.1 standard, faster transmission, and the maximum also supports 24w charging.

Meizu Pro 6 Plus’s HiFi uses the ESS ES9018K2M decoder chip and the ADI AD45275 op-amp chip.

The Meizu mTouch fingerprint module supports heart rate detection.
